THINGS SO FAR

I.

I'm already here in my hometown for a week now since I left Dumaguete and I realized that I only ate twice at home for dinner. Now that I'm here, things are getting sweeter, not only the beer. I'm back to my old life of being a nocturnal creature where the word curfew is as distant as my dormitory in Silliman. Things are just starting to kick off now that everyone is done with their final exams. I could only assume how this summer would turn out.

II.

I missed it!

The draw back of being back in Bukidnon and spending too much time with friends is that I totaly forgot about the Dumaguete National Writers Workshop where LitCritters Dumaguete members are expected to apply. I only wrote two stories and the workshop calls for three and I told Sir Ian before that I will just email him my third story, which I'm suppose to write here. The deadline is yesterday and if my fellow LitCritters didn't text that they already sent their manuscripts to the workshop, it would never cross my mind to think about it. But everything's too late for me, so good luck nalang to them.

III.

I'm leaving for Davao tomorrow to supervise the printing of The Silliman Magazine at Midtown Press. The last time I was in Davao was five years ago. I asked Prime to go with me but I changed my mind of spending a night there So i'll just go alone. I'll go back to Malayabalay in the afternoon, which is a 4-hour bus ride from Davao.
